This Senior Process Engineer position is working for a manufacturer in the Andover area. The working hours for the role are Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5pm, and an early finish of 3:30pm Friday. The role is paying up to £50,000 depending on experience.

As the Senior Process Engineer, you’ll lead the design, development and introduction of manufacturing processes for Power Electronics and Microelectronic assemblies, including tooling, fixtures and test equipment. You’ll manage a small team of Process Engineers, ensuring projects are well-planned, resourced and delivered to a high standard. Working closely with the Product Development team, you’ll drive early-stage process development using PFMEA and Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles. You’ll define and manage process experiments to ensure capability and quality, while overseeing the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and promoting best practice across production. You’ll take the lead on investigating and resolving process-related issues through root cause analysis and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and performance. This role also involves supporting the training and development of Process Engineers, providing technical expertise across the wider Engineering department, and ensuring all work complies with quality standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949, and IPC

You will need:

  • Ideally a relevant degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Considerable amount of previous experience in a similar role
  • A good understanding of CAD for model generation and jig, test and fixture drawings
  • Experience working to standards such as ISO9001, ISO13485, IPC or IATF16949
  • To be happy to commute to Andover and work onsite
