Andover - 17th Century Estate – Major Refurbishment - £90M

Project – Refurbishment of Listed Manor House consisting of New Nightclub, Traditional Pub, Cinema and Wellness Centre - £12M

Salary upto £75,000 + Car Allowance £5,000 + 23 Days Holiday + Pension

Blaymires Recruitment is representing a highly respected contractor who is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be site based on a major 17th Century estate refurbishment, located near Andover with a total project cost of £90M.

The chosen Senior Quantity Surveyor will have a rare opportunity to commercially manage the project costs of a major refurbishment of a 250 year old Manor House, consisting of a new nightclub, traditional pub, cinema and wellness centre with a project value of £12 Million.

The company will consider either a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor who has Main Contracting experience. You will have large new build and refurbishment experience with a good understanding of JCT form of contracts.

Procurement.
Planning.
Reporting.
Material purchasing.
Valuations.
Variations.
Sub-contract compliance.
Final Accounts.

Knowledge /Skills

HNC in Construction or relevant Degree level qualification.
Knowledge of private high-end residential building contracting would be an advantage.
You will have a good technical understanding of traditional and modern building methods.
You will have large construction project experience, in excess of £5M.
Good working knowledge of MS Office – Intermediate level of Excel.
Able to write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations, and specific building information.
Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn construction management IT packages.
A practical, logical and methodical approach to thinking and problem solving.
Confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients, and Subcontractors.
