Maintenance Technician

A client of ours is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the smooth running of its facilities. This is a practical, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety-fixing things, ensuring safety, and keeping the workplace in top condition.

Location: Andover, Hampshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responding to day-to-day maintenance needs across the site, from fixing equipment to troubleshooting building systems.
  • Carrying out regular checks and servicing to prevent breakdowns and ensure everything is working safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting health and safety by maintaining fire safety equipment, assisting with emergency drills, and keeping safety procedures up to date.
  • Helping to keep the site clean, secure, and well-organized-including overseeing waste disposal, parking areas, and basic security systems.
  • Assisting with small upgrades and improvement projects, working alongside contractors and internal teams to get things done with minimal disruption.

What You'll Bring:

  • Solid experience in general maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Practical knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to support wider facilities operations.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification (a plus, but not essential)
  • First Aid and Fire Marshall training
  • Any relevant trade or building services qualifications
