The Shoregate is a beautifully restored 19th-century restaurant and bar with four bedrooms in the heart of Crail, a popular historic fishing village near to St Andrews.

The Role

Were looking for aSous Chefwho wants to cook with flair, creativity and integrity. Someone who enjoys a changing menu, takes pride in what they can create, and relishes working in a close-knit kitchen where everyones ideas matter.

Youll work alongside our Head Chef to:

  • Run the kitchen in their absence
  • Lead preparation and service across all sections
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal dish creation
  • Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene, organisation and stock control
  • Train and support junior chefs
  • Contribute to a collaborative and respectful workplace
