As a Customs Agent (Trainee), you will play a critical role in managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with UK and international regulations, and supporting smooth import/export operations. While customs experience is a plus, we are keen to hear from candidates with relevant administrative experience and a strong desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities
Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and process customs documentation for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with customs authorities, brokers, and internal teams to resolve any issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
Data Accuracy: Input and maintain accurate customs data within management systems, ensuring records are up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
Issue Resolution: Quickly and efficiently address any customs-related problems or delays, proactively finding solutions to minimise disruptions.
Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed of changes in customs regulations and ensure that all documentation and processes adhere to the latest requirements.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to clients and internal teams by addressing customs-related inquiries and ensuring that shipments are cleared smoothly.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure customs information is accurately shared and processed.

Qualifications and Experience
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a busy office or administrative role. Experience in customs, logistics, import/export, or compliance is highly desirable but not essential.
Skills:
o Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
o Effective communication skills, able to engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
o Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
o Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address challenges proactively.

Monday to Friday (Day Shifts)
