The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of automated machinery, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems, and minimizing downtime through effective fault-finding and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults on automated machinery, including motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control panels.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent unexpected equipment failures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance machinery reliability and efficiency.
- Use basic PLC knowledge for fault-finding.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices across the site.

Qualifications and Skills
Â
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience working with automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
