We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder working with aluminium to join our dynamic team on a temporary to permanent contract based in the DE65 area The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work with various materials, mainly aluminium. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Salary: 16.00+ per hour depending on experience.

Position Details:

  • Monday to Thursday 08:00pm - 17:00pm, 16:00pm finish on a Friday
  • Day shift
  • Full-time, 40 hours basic per week

Responsibilities

  • Weld and fabricate aluminium scaffold using MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Assemble metal parts according to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Perform stick welding as required for specific projects.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.

Skills

  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot welding equipment.
  • Competency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in all work performed.
