We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join one of our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. The Forklift Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the warehouse. We have fixed AM, PM and Night Shifts Available for these ongoing roles.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency within the warehouse.
Skills
- In date counterbalance license
- Proven history of driving a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Proficient in materials handling techniques and best practices.
- Experience with heavy lifting, demonstrating physical capability for demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts safely in a busy warehouse environment.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
