This Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Generator Technician position involves preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, and repairs on generators, UPS systems, control systems, and other critical power equipment. Responsibilities include load bank testing, site surveys, inspections, installation, and commissioning of power systems, as well as deploying temporary or hire equipment on customer sites. Travel around the Kent area will be required.

Duties and responsibilities of the Field service engineer (generators) :
- Perform preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, and repairs on generators, UPS, control systems, and related equipment      Â
- Conduct load bank testing, site surveys, and inspections of critical power systems       Â
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of various critical power equipment      Â
- Install temporary or hire equipment, including generator sets and UPS, on customer sites      Â
- Plan, schedule, and oversee onsite work, ensuring safety compliance and risk assessments are carried out      Â
Qualifications and requirements for the (insert job title):
- Experience working on generators or other critical power equipment, or in a similar engineering environment      Â
- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) – desirable      Â
- Full UK driving license      Â
- Ability and willingness to travel across the Kent area      Â
