TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading provider of accountancy practice professionals is recruiting for an accountancy practice bookkeeper to join an excellent bookkeeping accountancy practice based near Ashford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients. Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Accounts Preparation: Assist in the preparation of accounts up to trial balance, ensuring all financial data is accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of clients’ bank accounts and financial statements.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and deadlines.
  • Management Reports: Produce management reports and financial statements as required, providing valuable insights to clients for their business operations.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel to maintain and manage clients' financial records efficiently.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to address queries, provide updates, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within a friendly and collaborative team of bookkeepers, contributing to a positive and supportive working environment.

  • Experience: Proven experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice.
  • Qualifications: Part-qualified or qualified by experience.
