TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading specialist in accountancy practice recruitment, is working with a fantastic bookkeeping practice near Ashford to recruit an Accountancy Practice Bookkeeper.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team in a well-established firm with a great local reputation.

  • Client Bookkeeping - Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients. Accurately record financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts and payments.
  • Accounts Preparation - Support the preparation of accounts up to trial balance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.
  • Bank Reconciliation - Carry out regular bank reconciliations to keep clients’ financial statements accurate and up to date.
  • VAT Returns - Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines and regulations.
  • Management Reports - Produce clear and informative management reports and financial statements to help clients understand their business performance.
  • Software Proficiency - Work confidently with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and Excel to maintain clients' financial records efficiently.
  • Client Interaction - Maintain regular communication with clients to answer queries, provide updates and deliver great service.
  • Team Collaboration - Be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment, working alongside other experienced bookkeepers.
Requirements

Senior Accountancy Practice bookkeeper Ashford

  • Experience -You’ll have proven experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice, with a solid understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping processes.
  • Qualifications - Ideally part-qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong foundation in accountancy principles.
  • Skills - Confident using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks and Xero, along with strong Excel skills. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and be highly organised in your approach.
  • Team Player - A collaborative attitude is key. You’ll enjoy working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and supporting your colleagues.
  • Proactive Mindset-  You’ll be proactive, able to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively across multiple clients and deadlines.
