Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Kent
Salary: 37-47,000 (dependent on experience)
A long-established architecture and surveying firm is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to enhance its Kent-based team. This position provides the opportunity to work across a broad mix of schemes-including residential, commercial and industrial-while focusing on delivering accurate technical design and comprehensive construction information.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop precise technical drawings, BIM models and construction documentation throughout all project phases
- Ensure all design deliverables comply with relevant legislation, UK building regulations and structural/services criteria
- Work closely with architects, surveyors, clients and external consultants to produce practical, fully coordinated design solutions
- Mentor junior colleagues by supporting best practice in drawing standards and efficient workflows
- Contribute to the preparation of tender packages, specifications and contract-related documents as required
- Support sustainable design strategies and assist in enhancing the studio's digital design processes
Candidate Profile
- Proven background as a Senior Architectural Technician within an architectural or multidisciplinary environment
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, BIM standards and detailed construction methodology
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with strong technical drawing and modelling skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all technical documentation
- Clear, confident communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage deadlines, coordinate several ongoing projects and prioritise workload effectively
- Based in Kent or within a practical commuting distance
