Senior Site Chemist - Hazardous Waste
Location: Kent, UK
Salary: up to 40,000pa (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm
My client is looking for a Senior Site Chemist to join their team based in Kent. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in a Site Chemist, Mobile Chemist or Lab Chemist role for a UK based Waste Management company.
You will be responsible for the safe operation of the site, waste handling, and liaising with site management to implement day-to-day work requirements and be responsible for training and developing fellow site chemists. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations
- Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling
- Develop and train chemists, and maintain stock rotation
- Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time
- Liaise with site management to implement day-to-day work requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
- Previous experience as a site chemist or related role
- In-depth knowledge of waste acceptance regulations and HSE segregation guidelines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
