Graduate Planner

Location: Kent

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting the largest independent planning and highways consultancy in the South East, in their search for a graduate planner. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for urban planning and development to kick-start their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Conduct research and analysis to support planning projects
  • Collaborate with senior planners to develop planning strategies and solutions
  • Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders to gather project requirements
  • Prepare reports and presentations for planning proposals
  • Stay updated on local planning policies and regulations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or related field
  • Strong understanding of urban planning principles and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and other planning software is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work


Day-to-Day:

As a Graduate Planner at DHA Planning, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of planning projects, from residential developments to commercial ventures. You will collaborate with experienced planners and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the planning process, from research and analysis to client interaction and project management.
