Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in podiatric medicine and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves diagnosing and treating conditions related to the feet, ankles, and lower extremities, while also collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and lower extremities to diagnose conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform various podiatric procedures including but not limited to wound care, suturing, and botulinum toxin treatment.
  • Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in areas such as endocrinology, cardiology, and orthopedics for comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding foot health and preventive measures.
  • Stay updated on advancements in podiatry and related fields through continuous education and clinical research.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice podiatry.
  • Experience with EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to podiatry.
  • Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective care plans.
  • Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting or hospital environment is preferred.
