Senior Planner

Location: Kent

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading property development company in their search for a Senior Planner in Kent.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to take a leading role in managing and delivering strategic planning projects. You will guide development proposals from inception to approval, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex planning applications, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

  • Provide expert planning advice to internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Prepare and submit planning documents, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, consultants, and other key stakeholders.

  • Mentor and support junior planning staff, fostering professional development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Planner, ideally within a property development or consultancy environment.

  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policies and legislation.

  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Membership of the RTPI or equivalent professional body is desirable.
