Pay: £30 to £50 per hour

Vision for Education is seeking dedicated and dynamic Prison Tutors to join our team and support learners within prisons across Kent.

About the Role:

As a Prison Tutor, you will provide high-quality education to learners in a prison setting, empowering them with the skills and knowledge they need to build a brighter future. You will deliver engaging and tailored lessons in subjects such as English, Maths, IT, or vocational skills, fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
Support students in achieving their learning goals and qualifications.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with prison regulations.
Work collaboratively with prison staff and other education providers.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

Experience in teaching or training adults is desirable, particularly in challenging environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.
An enhanced DBS check and prison clearance (Vision for Education will assist with this process).
