The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team based in East London. You'll be responsible for managing commercial projects from pre-contract through to completion, ensuring profitability, compliance, and client satisfaction. This is a key leadership role where you'll guide surveyors, support senior commercial managers, and help drive commercial success across projects.
Key Responsibilities
路Provide leadership to Quantity Surveyors and support the wider commercial team
路Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and client counterparts
路Oversee commercial projects from pre-contract stage through to final accounts
路Manage sub-contracts including tendering, awarding, and monthly payment assessments
路Produce accurate forecasts, CVRs, and final accounts
路Ensure all internal and client processes are followed to minimise commercial risk
路Accurately value completed work and ensure timely cash collection
A company car or car allowance is included in the role, so a full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points) is required.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
路Essential: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying
路Essential: NEC TSC contract experience and knowledge of ICC Term Contracts
路Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills
路Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
路Strong numeracy, analytical, written, and presentation skills
路A process-driven approach with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
