We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an outstanding special needs school in the Ashford area, supporting primary and secondary-aged students with PMLD. This is a unique opportunity to work within a nurturing and inclusive environment, where you can help students flourish both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to primary and secondary students with PMLD, assisting with learning activities and daily tasks.
- Offer personal care support, including help with toileting and feeding, while ensuring each student's dignity and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement tailored Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and manage behaviour effectively.
- Create a supportive, safe, and engaging atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.

Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to an hour to work.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly PMLD, is advantageous.
- Ability to provide personal care support, including toileting and feeding, as needed.
- Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach.
- Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances.
- Hold, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
