We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join one of our well established client based in Ashington, Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves assembling and constructing wooden structures, ensuring precision and quality in every task. The successful candidate will be responsible for heavy lifting and working both indoors and outdoors, including roofing projects.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and construct wooden structures according to specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform masonry tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity
- Carry out painting duties to finish projects to a high standard
- Ensure all work is plumb and level, adhering to building regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety guidelines
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter is essential
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with masonry techniques is an advantage
- Experience in roofing projects is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
