Class Teacher

Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and proactive Class Teacher to support the pupils learning and development, in one of our Primary Schools in Ashington on a full-time and long-term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their progress and development inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allows all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
  • Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and learning styles of the class.
  • Using varied methods of assessment to the pupil's progress.

About the School:

  • The role is based in a Primary School in Ashington.
  • There is an opportunity for the role to be based across any age group from EYFS to Year 6., depending on the experience, specialism and preference of the successful Candidate.
  • The school has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide highest level of support to pupils.

  • Hours: 8:30-3:30
  • Pay: 600-1000

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
  • QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
  • Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
  • Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
  • A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
  • Experience Teaching within the UK
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
