GSL Education are currently recruiting a motivated and dedicated Primary ECT to join a school in Ashington, offering a nurturing environment for professional growth and hands-on classroom experience. This is an ideal opportunity for ECTs seeking their first teaching position or those looking to complete their induction. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons across the primary curriculum while building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum for your designated key stage.
- Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where all children can thrive.
- Plan, mark, and assess pupils’ work, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and abilities.
- Work closely with colleagues, including teaching assistants, to support pupil progress and well-being.
- Establish positive behaviour management strategies and foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.
- Engage in ongoing CPD and mentoring programmes as part of your ECT induction.
- Build effective partnerships with parents/carers and contribute to school life and events.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be recognised as an Early Career Teacher.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and current educational practices.
- Passionate about teaching with a commitment to providing high-quality education.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A proactive and reflective approach to personal and professional development.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
