Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Oldham. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods between our base in Oldham and locations in Manchester, with occasional travel to Liverpool. This position requires flexibility, as working hours will vary according to business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle for daily routes, primarily between Oldham and Manchester, with occasional travel to Liverpool.

   

• Ensure all goods are securely loaded and unloaded, following safe handling procedures.

   

• Adhere to road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation.

   

• Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is in good working order. Report any mechanical issues or damage to the appropriate personnel.

   

• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including times, locations, and goods delivered.

   

• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly and signed for.

   

• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, ensuring it meets company and legal standards.

   

• Comply with any special delivery instructions and client requests.

   

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (C) driving licence.

   

• Full Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).

   

• Digital tachograph card.

   

• Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles.

   

• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic laws.

   

• Good time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.

   

• Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading goods.

   

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

   

• Flexibility to travel to various locations, including occasional trips to Liverpool.

   

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
