The role
A vibrant, supportive and very highly regarded special needs college in Tameside is seeking to appoint a full time SEND Teacher to deliver a post-16 curriculum to students with Autism and complex needs. Ability levels can vary considerably and a willingness to deliver more than one curriculum area is desired for the role of SEND Tutor. The college has a strong emphasis on life skills and employability as for most learners this is their last experience of education.


Requirements
The desired SEND Teacher will have:

  • Experience working within a SEND school or with children/young people with physical or learning disabilities of some sort is essential for this teaching role. 
  • Be dedicated and supportive, an excellent communicator, passionate about working with students with SEND.
  • Possess a recognised UK teaching qualification
  • The SEND Tutor will be required to deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum.
