- To plan and provide child centred supervision of children’s family time to parents, family, friends and carers working with court orders and referring agencies contact decisions.
- To provide concise, relevant and accurate recording of family time sessions and discussion with other professional and agencies in line with internal policy and procedural guidance.
- To undertake assessments of child and family time sessions for court proceedings and where required prepare, present to courts and referral agencies.
- To manage a caseload and ensure that client confidentiality is maintained (in accordance with procedures) at all times.
- To intervene and act in accordance with safeguarding procedures within your centre and in accordance with those of the Local Safeguarding Board and referring agency.
- To provide transport when required and as identified as part of a Care Plan.
- To participate in regular supervision sessions, attend appropriate meetings and participate in relevant and development activity.
- To observe and carry out statutory regulation procedures and policies, appropriate to the service area.
- To organise, prioritise and manage workload under your own initiative in a creative and flexible approach.
- To support young people in maintaining Family time with family members/significant others whilst in the care of the Local Authority and support rehabilitation plans to parents and / or connective carers.
- To actively seek the wishes and feelings of children and young people, to encourage their participation in decision making.
- To attend court as required as a representative of the Local Authority.
