About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our busy and growing practice in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is AAT qualified and looking to join a supportive, professional environment with a steady client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a variety of clients

  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage client accounts

  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns

  • Support in the preparation of management accounts

  • Liaise with clients and HMRC as required

  • Assist with year-end accounts preparation

  • Use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a practice environment (essential)

  • AAT qualified (Level 3 or above)

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

  • Proficient in cloud-based accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple clients
