Job Title: Genral Manager

Objectives:

  • Ensure a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming experience for all guests by managing effectively.
  • Oversee expenditure within the prescribed budget limits.
  • Maintain and control the buildings and grounds to provide a secure and safe environment.
  • Supervise staff at all levels while setting clear objectives.
  • Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to create a positive working environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Staff Management

  • Identify and coordinate appropriate staff training.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and training records.
  • Record hours worked by each staff member and promptly relay this information to the Payroll and Pensions Manager monthly.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Chair to keep them informed about matters concerning the site.

2. Health and Safety

  • Ensure the Centre complies with Health and Safety requirements, including specified inspections conducted at appropriate intervals.
  • Act as the Centre's Health and Safety lead, working collaboratively with the Chair.

3. Bookings

  • Liaise with the Bookings Manager to ensure seamless execution of all bookings.
  • Communicate effectively with organisers and the Bookings Manager to understand and meet their requirements, ensuring all necessary facilities and services are available.

4. Maintenance

  • Oversee the maintenance of the buildings and grounds.
  • Take immediate action to address minor or safety-related defects, collaborating with the Chair on repairs.
  • Major repairs and structural maintenance are managed by the Management Team
