About the Company

We’re recruiting for a small but growing UK-based manufacturer of specialist medical seating. Originally an importer, they now proudly design and assemble their own products in-house—from frame construction and wiring to upholstery and final assembly.

They're a tight-knit team of 6, supported by remote colleagues overseas. Led by a hands-on operations manager, our workshop is fast-paced, practical, and quality-focused. We value reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Assembly Operative

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role assembling specialist healthcare chairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble chairs and cushions using hand and power tools
  • Trim and finish plastic and fabric components to high standards
  • Follow clear build specifications and SOPs
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Work as part of a small, focused production team

No prior experience in medical manufacturing needed – full training provided.

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience (DIY, trades, or workshop/production roles)
  • Good attention to detail
  • A team-oriented, can-do attitude
  • Strong timekeeping and attendance

The work is varied, not repetitive—ideal for someone who enjoys building things and doing a job properly.
