Your New Role:The Trainee Payroll Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the payroll department by executing daily, monthly, and annual payroll tasks such as but not limited to the following:- Answering payroll-related queries from employees and the businessÂ
- New Starter and Leaver processing
- Statutory payment processing
- Absence processing
- Attachment of earnings orders processing
- Auto enrolment and pension contribution changes
- Company benefit scheme processing
- Creating and submitting the salaries payment file via BACS
- Preparing the monthly payroll journal
- Maintaining AIS data
- Processing tax year end documentation
- Ensuring national and international deadlines are complied with for own area of responsibility
- Ensuring the security of documentation and electronic data in own area of responsibility
About You
- Experience in end to end payroll processing
- High attention to detail
- Strong excel skills
- Driven with a strong work ethic
- Able to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise workload to meet business-critical deadlines
- Works in a structured, methodical manner
- Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Positive attitude towards change and innovation
- CIPP/CIPD Payroll / Pension Qualifications (Desirable)
- Knowledge of ResourceLink Payroll System (Desirable)
- Experience of Workday HR (Desirable)
