We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Indirect Procurement to lead and manage all aspects of indirect spend across our organisation. This pivotal role will ensure the efficient procurement of non-production goods and services-including IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, and logistics-driving value, efficiency, and innovation in alignment with our corporate goals.

As a senior leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping our procurement strategy, enhancing supplier relationships, ensuring cost optimisation, and championing sustainable sourcing practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development & Execution

    • Define and implement the indirect procurement strategy aligned with organisational objectives and global best practices.

    • Drive category management excellence across all areas of indirect spend.

  • Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Supplier Relationship Management

    • Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners.

    • Oversee supplier performance, negotiation of contracts, and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.

  • Cost Optimisation & Value Creation

    • Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.

    • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) thinking across categories.

  • Process Improvement & Governance

    • Establish robust procurement policies, processes, and systems.

    • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Partner with internal stakeholders (IT, HR, Marketing, Operations) to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions.

    • Influence senior leaders on procurement value and opportunities.

  • Sustainability & Risk Management

    • Champion ESG initiatives in the supply chain, focusing on sustainable and ethical sourcing.

    • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).

  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) strongly desirable.

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing indirect categories.

  • Strong experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or distribution sectors preferred.

  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation.
