In our Assistant role, you will gain valuable experience being part of a collaborative team focused on making a real impact, whilst forming relationships with GB/IE colleagues and across the International business, as well as across 3PLs.
As part of this role, you will be instrumental in driving forward forecasting, Supplier/National Buying handovers of products, as well as projects, to help ensure Aldi maintains market leading levels of availability and keeps a sharp edge in an ever-changing landscape of Supply Chain.
You will need enthusiasm and drive, with proven experience of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will need to think on your feet, be self-reliant and a confident individual with a positive attitude. You will act as a key stakeholder in assisting with coordinating forecasting, product handovers and delivering projects, as well as coordinating with Business Experts and Key Users at National and International levels.

Your New Role:
- Ownership of creating, maintaining and reviewing shipping volume forecasts on a monthly and yearly basis
- Assists in collaborating with National Buying and 3PLs to ensure Supplier product handovers are conducted on time and adhere to the critical path to meet the On Sale Date (OSD) in Stores
- Leads/supports on multiple project opportunities, whilst maintaining accurate documentation for all project activities, preparing updates and monitoring risks
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management of all levels of business
- Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies
- Deliver reporting to internal and external stakeholders on a weekly basis
- Support the delivery of the department/team strategies as required
- Ensures a clear understanding of current actions, proposing/taking action where appropriate
- Decides on organisation of own work
About You:
- Demonstrate an ability to manage, lead and support on projects
- Previous background within Supply Chain environments
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, has a strong internal drive and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to digest and manage complex information surrounding product critical paths/handovers including international stakeholders
- Experience in and comfort with working in fast paced environments
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Excellent organisational skills, and multitasking skills
- Strong problem solving abilities whilst being able to proactively work towards challenging deadlines
- Confident communicator with solid networking and relationship building skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of Supply Chain critical paths
- Previous background within Operational environments including project management
