The position: CNC Profile Burner operator
We are looking to recruit a CNC profile burner operator. Training provided.
CNC Operative Description
The CNC profile burner is to report to the profile co-ordinator and expected to load steel plates ranging from 6mm to 250mm thick accurately onto the cutting bed using overhead cranes with correct lifting techniques. Candidate will need to have a good understanding of oxy-fuel cutting, they will be required to use the software to cut profiles designed by the profile co-ordinator. Operator will be expected to measure first off parts using a tape and mark accordingly. They will also be required to oxy-fuel cut chamfered weld preps on steel parts and occasionally use bandsaw/grinding equipment if required. Training will be provided on CNC operating system.
CNC Operative Skills and knowledge
- Experience of oxy-fuel cutting carbon steel
- Basic understanding CNC operating software
- Understanding of basic measuring, ability to self-inspect profiled parts.
- Overhead crane/slinging experience
- Ability to mark up parts/ complete job log cards to maintain traceability.
- Previous experience using bandsaws desirable.
- Previous experience using 7/5” grinders to deburr/radius parts.
- FLT experience desirable
- Candidate will need to be reliable, have good timekeeping and maintain good housekeeping.
CNC Operative Pay Rate:
Fully trained: £14.11 per hour. you will start on 12.50 until you are fully trained
CNC Operative Hours of work:
Day shift (39 hours)
Monday to Thursday 06:45-15:15hrs
riday 06:45-14:15hrs
