NXTGEN are pleased to be working in exclusive partnership with a high-growth, entrepreneurial business that's at the beginning of a truly exciting journey. As they continue to scale, they're now looking to recruit their first in-house Assistant Management Accountant, a pivotal role that offers exceptional progression, hands-on experience, and the chance to help shape the finance function from day one.

This is far more than your typical Assistant Management Accountant role. You'll be working directly alongside a KPMG-trained Director, receiving invaluable mentorship from someone who understands what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Their commitment to your development means you'll be supported every step of the way as you build the foundations for a long-term career in finance.

You'll gain broad exposure across all areas of finance - from ledgers and reconciliations to management reporting and ERP implementation, all while progressing through your studies. For the right candidate, full study support (CIMA/ACCA) will be provided, ensuring your professional growth remains a priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping including sales and purchase ledger management
  • Bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes
  • Assisting with the implementation of a new ERP system and ensuring successful data migration
  • Analysing financial data and helping to prepare management reports
  • Supporting audit preparation and compliance with internal financial controls

I am looking to speak to ambitious and proactive finance professional's, ideally AAT qualified and eager to progress to ACCA/CIMA, with previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role (practice experience is advantageous but not essential). If you're hands-on, detail-driven, and confident using accounting systems such as Xero, this role will give you the platform to truly excel. What makes this opportunity unique is the rare one-to-one mentorship from a KPMG-trained Director, combined with the chance to join a high-growth business at the very start of its journey. You'll not only benefit from expert guidance and full study support, but also play an integral role in shaping the finance function as the business scales.

Package & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Full study support
  • Defined progression plan with growing responsibility
  • Generous holiday allowance and long service awards
  • Employee Assistance Programme for financial, health & legal support
