Summary:

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Restaurant Manager to be based in Aviemore on a full time, permanent basis.

Duties include:

  • Oversee Restaurant and Food Service operations and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations including training of staff.
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement policies.
  • Monitor and review pricing models and oversee procurement to obtain best value and profitability.
  • Rota management, ensuring efficient cover at all times.
  • Budget management and reporting for the department.
  • Work with the Head Chef in menu planning and delivery.
  • Recruitment, induction and training of catering staff.
  • Deal with customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Work effectively with other departments to ensure efficiencies and manage events.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in similar role including managing a team.
  • Up to date knowledge of regulations and practices specific to the catering sector and the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Experience of rota management to maximise efficiency in a busy catering operation.
  • Experience of departmental budget management.
  • Experience of management reporting.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to design and plan menu offerings.
