Type: Full-time | PermanentAre you a technically strong, qualified accountant with a passion for statutory reporting and group consolidations? We're looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our central finance team and lead the preparation of our group annual report, accounts, and disclosures.About the RoleThis is a pivotal role responsible for managing the group consolidation process and leading the external audit of group accounts. You'll play a key part in acquisition accounting, fair value exercises, and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards. You'll also provide expert technical guidance across the finance function.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead statutory accounting and reporting for consolidated group accounts
  • Manage acquisition accounting and fair value exercises
  • Prepare technical papers on accounting issues (e.g. impairment, dilapidations)
  • Produce consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes
  • Act as finance lead for external audit of group schedules
  • Ensure compliance with Charity Accounting Standards (FRS102)
  • Provide technical accounting advice and support across the group
  • Oversee group Corporation Tax accounting and returns
  • Drive improvements in reporting and audit processes
  • Support financial accounting activities across group companies

?? About YouEssential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree-level education
  • Full or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Extensive experience in group consolidations
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS102
  • Proven experience in statutory reporting, acquisition accounting, and external audits
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders
