The position is for a Capital Projects Manager

A position has arisen for a temporary Capital Projects Manager placed within a highly reputable organisation situated in Buckinghamshire. This role takes responsibility for developing and implementing capital management policy and procedures, providing specialist advice on a range of projects from £30K – £3m for a contract length of 3 months with the possibility of an extension.

Your duties will include:

  • Project manage a range of works including construction, refurbishments and installations
  • Deliver projects within a live environment ensuring minimal disruption to day to day services
  • Complete pre-inspections to specify the works to issue to the contractors
  • Commission and manage delegated Capital projects including work on business case development
  • Monitor the contractors completing the works, ensuring they are working to the specification, on time and to the budget
  • Project manage the tender process and the works on site, to completion and handover
  • Provide technical advice and ensure projects are in line with compliance and statutory legislations
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, tender documents and evaluation reports for the projects at hand
  • Liaise with the on-site estates departments to ensure a smooth transition of the new facilities
  • Create, review and uphold method statements and risk assessments

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience working within a similar role in a commercial environment
  • Must have experience managing refurbishment projects
  • Able to work on multiple projects at a time
