Are you a dynamic and hands-on Health & Safety Manager ready to make a real impact in a fast-growing manufacturing business?
We’re looking for a proactive individual to lead and evolve our health and safety function across a complex production, blending, and warehouse environment. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of H&S in a business that’s scaling rapidly and values common-sense, practical solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and implement a robust Health & Safety Management System, conducting gap analysis and driving improvements.
- Ensure compliance with key regulations including COSHH, PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, and DSEAR.
- Lead fire and risk assessments, manage audits (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001), and support waste handling strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders across logistics, manufacturing, and facilities to embed a safety-first culture.
- Deliver training, mentor teams, and support change management initiatives.
- Strategically zoom out to plan and zoom in to deliver — balancing vision with hands-on execution.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified Health & Safety Manager (NEBOSH General Certificate with Fire essential; Diploma desirable).
- Experience in manufacturing environments — ideally with exposure to blending vessels, chemicals, and logistics.
- Strong auditing experience and familiarity with ISO standards.
- A confident communicator who can influence at all levels and bring energy to training and engagement.
- Someone with a “can-do” attitude, ready to be a one-person H&S powerhouse.
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a business that’s growing fast and investing in its people and infrastructure.
- Shape the H&S strategy from the ground up and grow with the role.
- Work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where safety is a top priority.
If you’re a Health & Safety Manager who thrives on challenge, enjoys autonomy, and wants to make a meaningful difference — we’d love to hear from you.
