Butler Rose is proud to be acting as the exclusive recruitment partner for a well-established and ambitious business with a clear growth plan. Our client is seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join their team in Aylesbury.

This is a key role in which the successful candidate will take complete responsibility for the sales ledger and credit control functions, working closely with the Finance Manager, Directors and wider team. The position requires someone who is proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of building and improving processes while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a positive, "can-do" attitude who thrives in a collaborative environment and is confident in taking ownership of their area while supporting the business's growth.

This role is fully office-based, working on site five days per week, with part-time hours available (minimum 30 hours per week).Key Responsibilities

* Fully manage and control the billing process, supported by the Finance Manager. * Proactively contact customers to ensure invoices have been received and secure payment commitments in line with terms. * Ensure timely cash collection in accordance with company cash flow objectives. * Accurately manage and allocate cash for designated customers. * Investigate and resolve queries, including pricing issues, quantity discrepancies, and account holds. * Work closely with the sales and customer services teams to manage customer credit. * Ensure disputes are resolved effectively or escalated appropriately. * Carry out general administrative duties and support ad-hoc tasks as required. * Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the billing and credit control functions. Skills & Experience

* Good standard of education finance-related qualification desirable. * Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and Word. * High level of numerical skills with proven administration experience. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships. * A proactive problem-solver with a solutions-focused mindset. * Team player who can work effectively with the Sales Director and across departments.
