Senior Mechanical Engineer

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the design and specification, manufacturing, performing site surveys, and the installation and commissioning of special-purpose capital equipment.

What we would like from the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• Experience in the design/specification, manufacture, installation/commissioning of special-purpose capital equipment (experience in conveyor systems is an advantage)
• Practical hands-on experience with site surveys and installation/commissioning is essential, with at least 10 years of industry experience
• A strong understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles, proven ability to deliver projects on time, practical rather than academic/theoretical ability or experience, and proficiency in basic structural hand calculations
• Strong 3D modelling skills, part and assembly modelling and an interest in 2D creating layouts (AutoCAD)
• A desire and ability to step up to manage the day-to-day running of the engineering team

• Salary paying between £50,000 to £70,000 doe
