As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in sustaining the school’s high standards by delivering engaging, pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences. You will maintain an environment that fosters student engagement, promotes positive behaviour, and supports effective learning.

• Lead whole-class supervision across diverse subjects during short-term teacher absences

• Deliver high-quality, pre-planned lessons ensuring consistent pupil engagement

• Enforce behaviour management strategies aligned with the school’s policies to maintain a productive classroom atmosphere

• Provide timely and effective support to pupils, responding to queries and facilitating learning

• Cultivate a calm, inclusive, and safe environment conducive to student success

• Accurately report pupil behaviour and progress to teaching staff to inform ongoing learning strategies

• Confident and assertive with the ability to independently manage a classroom setting

• Experience working with children or young people (schools, tutoring, mentoring, coaching) highly advantageous

• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrates flexibility, resilience, and a solutions-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment

• Graduate or equivalent qualification preferred
