We are seeking a skilled Joinery Estimator for freelance work, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for bespoke joinery projects, collaborating with clients and contractors, and ensuring competitive tenders.
Key Responsibilities-
Produce detailed cost estimates from drawings and specifications.

Prepare competitive tender proposals and bills of quantities.

Conduct site visits to assess project scope.

Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes.

Liaise with clients and project teams to clarify requirements.

Use estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Bluebeam, Excel) for take-offs and pricing.

Maintain cost databases and perform risk assessments.

3+ years of joinery estimation experience (cabinetmaking/shopfitting preferred).

Proficient in reading technical drawings and using estimating software.

Strong knowledge of joinery processes (e.g., cabinetry, fit-outs).

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.

Degree or trade qualification in construction/joinery preferred but not essential.

Flexible freelance role with potential remote/hybrid work - initially some time needed at Oxfordshire workshop/office.

Occasional travel for site visits or meetings.
