About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and interactive French and/or Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5
- Immerse students in the richness of language, culture, and practical communication skills
- Inspire a passion for languages using dynamic teaching methods, digital tools, and authentic materials
- Plan and implement a modern, inclusive MFL curriculum tailored to support all learners
- Support international initiatives such as language days, exchange programs, and cultural events
- Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and enhance language fluency
- Collaborate with a dedicated MFL team to improve student outcomes and foster enthusiasm for language learning
The ideal candidate will:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or is currently working towards it
- Degree in French, Spanish, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of language teaching methods and excellent communication skills
- Confident teaching one or both languages up to GCSE level (A-Level teaching experience is advantageous)
- Committed to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and maintaining high expectations
- Creative, adaptable, and passionate about helping students become confident global communicators
