About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive French and/or Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5
  • Immerse students in the richness of language, culture, and practical communication skills
  • Inspire a passion for languages using dynamic teaching methods, digital tools, and authentic materials
  • Plan and implement a modern, inclusive MFL curriculum tailored to support all learners
  • Support international initiatives such as language days, exchange programs, and cultural events
  • Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and enhance language fluency
  • Collaborate with a dedicated MFL team to improve student outcomes and foster enthusiasm for language learning

The ideal candidate will:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or is currently working towards it
  • Degree in French, Spanish, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of language teaching methods and excellent communication skills
  • Confident teaching one or both languages up to GCSE level (A-Level teaching experience is advantageous)
  • Committed to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and maintaining high expectations
  • Creative, adaptable, and passionate about helping students become confident global communicators
