Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Partner to join a well-established accountancy practice. This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic vision, strong client relationship management and a strong commercial mindset.

As a Partner that successful candidate must hold a current practising certificate and will play a critical role in shaping the future of the practice, delivering exceptional service to our clients, and developing the internal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the firm’s long-term goals, focusing on market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Commercial Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and execute growth opportunities across service lines (audit, tax, advisory, etc.) and industry verticals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage senior-level relationships with prospects and existing clients to drive client retention and account expansion.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions and positioning in emerging markets.
  • Proposal Management: Oversee the development of winning proposals, pitches, and RFP responses tailored to prospective clients' needs.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, contribute to budget setting and ensure the practice achieves its profitability goals
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship and leadership to managers and staff. Attract, develop and retain high quality talent.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all client work is compliant with the relevant regulatory and professional standards
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Promote and Implement improvements to systems, processes, and service delivery for greater efficiency and client satisfaction

Requirements

  • Substantial experience at senior manager, director, or partner level within a professional accountancy practice.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and deliver a high standard of service.
  • Commercially focused with a track record of business development.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance, tax, and accounting regulations
  • Experience of working with SMEs and owner manager businesses.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing high-value clients.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting services.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and data-driven approach.

Desirable:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Holds a valid practising certificate (mandatory).
