Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time – Term Time
Salary: £90 – £120 per day
About the Role:
A supportive and inclusive school in Aylesbury is looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s learning and development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in the classroom and during other school activities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting resources as required
- Implement strategies and support plans set by the SENCO or specialist staff
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
Requirements:
- Experience working 1:1 with children, ideally with SEN or additional needs
- Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow guidance from teaching staff and specialists
