Our client has an exceptional independent special school who are focused on providing a safe learning environment that benefits all learners with the skills for their future.

As a Teaching Assistant within the school you will be supporting students to reach their full potential and learning goals.

This role will be supporting challenging behaviours within a SEMH provision, all applicants must be aware that these behaviours can include physical and verbal outbursts from students. Duties:

  • Providing support to students in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting Teachers with a range of educational needs
  • Providing students with the care and compassion they need to thrive in school
  • Liaising with parents and external agencies where suitable
  • Supporting with appropriate interventions such as literacy and numeracy
  • Work collaboratively as a team to improve outcomes for our students
Skills / Qualifications:

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous
