The Role:
- Full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant position with the opportunity to go permanent
- Competitive daily rate of £100-£115
- Supporting learners in small groups and on a 1:1 basis within the Pupil Referral Unit
- Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons across the curriculum, including GCSE and Functional Skills
- Helping pupils in Chesham re-engage with education through consistent structure, encouragement and behaviour management strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a youth work/support role, care or residential background
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
- A calm, resilient and adaptable approach to working with learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education
- Passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours in Chesham
- Eager to learn and grow within a specialist Pupil Referral Unit setting
