Job Title: Mechanical Assembly / Fitter

About The Role -
Our Cleint is leading provider of innovative heat exchange solutions, with a reputation for engineering excellence and high-quality manufacturing. With decades of experience, we serve a diverse range of industries including power generation, marine, oil & gas, and industrial processing.

Due to continued growth and demand, we are now looking to recruit skilled Mechanical Assembly Fitters to join our high-performing team.

The Role:
As a Mechanical Assembly Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the precision assembly of heat exchangers and associated equipment. You’ll be working from engineering drawings to build bespoke thermal units to exacting standards, ensuring the reliability and performance our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components and heat exchanger units according to engineering drawings and specifications

  • Fit, align, and secure parts using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments

  • Conduct pressure testing and quality checks on completed assemblies

  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly or fitting, ideally within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment

  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with heat exchangers or pressure-tested equipment

  • Relevant engineering or mechanical qualifications/apprenticeship
