Claims Technician

We are supporting a company based in Aylesbury with recruiting for a Claims Technician on a permanent basis. The salary is paying between 23.9k-28k per annum (DOE) and the hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm with an hour for lunch.

This is an office-based position and due to the distance, you must be local to the office in Aylesbury. There is the option for hybrid working, but only available to applicants who have previous Claims Handling experience.

Duties will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and resolving them in a professional manner
  • Dealing and opening customer insurance claims, and ensuring service level agreements are adhered to
  • Updating jobs on the system to maintain records
  • Ensuring documentation is compliant and following the Data Protection Act
  • Building relationships with the network of suppliers
  • Validation of costs and claim coverage
  • Final reconciliation of work carried out
  • Liaising with operatives and clients to agree a scope of work
  • Ensuring repair schedules are appropriate and efficient

To be successful for this role, you must have strong customer service experience within an office environment, as well as excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Insurance claims experience/knowledge is desirable but not essential.
