Job Title: Operations Manager

Contract Details: Full time, permanent

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join their team and drive operational excellence across various functions. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's diverse departments, contributing to their overall success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage operations across multiple departments, including parts, sales & service administration, warehouse, health & safety, and facilities.
  • Inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve high performance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Oversee budget control and monitoring, ensuring financial targets are met and return on investment (ROI) is maximised. Analyse financial data to make informed decisions and optimise resource allocation.
  • Adopt a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among departments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, particularly in health and safety.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Monitor and analyse operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance operational processes and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and manage projects related to operational improvements, ensuring timely and successful completion. Coordinate with various departments to align project goals with overall business strategy.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for team members. Develop and implement training programmes to enhance skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Business degree or related professional qualification. Advanced degrees or certifications in operations management or related fields are a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Proven experience in managing and leading teams to achieve high performance.
  • Relationship Management: Proven experience in relationship management, with a track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Financial awareness, including experience with ROI, budget control, and monitoring. Ability to analyse financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
