An established engineering company based in Aylesbury is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic design department working on a variety of mechanical systems and components.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following:
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)
- A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mechanical design role
- Experience with heat exchangers would be highly desirable
- Good knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings
- Designing mechanical components and systems for a range of applications
- Working closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure designs meet specification
- Creating and maintaining BOMs and technical documentation
- Assisting in prototype build and testing phases
- Contributing to design improvements and value engineering initiatives
